Job Description

  • The Infrastructure Engineer 3 is responsible for designing building and implementing systems and solutions in support of the IT Infrastructure. The position acts as an escalation point for requests and issues related to systems and users. The Infrastructure Engineer is also tasked with identifying and implementing efficiency improvements to existing systems and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design build and implement moderately complex technology platforms and solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex or escalated issues and outages; perform problem-solving root-cause and post-mortem analyses to drive process improvements
  • Safeguard the security integrity and confidentiality of the company's supported systems and data; drive the execution of complex improvements to maintain and achieve high security posture
  • Identify and improve internal efficiencies on data center systems security maintenance installations and upgrades; provide ongoing recommendations and reporting
  • Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
  • Design and implement solutions for backup and disaster recovery; perform the testing and execution of disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity
  • Document the design operation procedures and troubleshooting of implemented complex solutions and technology platforms; review documentation for best practices and conduct training sessions with team members
  • Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
  • Participate in audits of servers and environment to ensure compliance with established standards policies and configuration guidelines; identify opportunities for audit automation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer
  • Strong experience working with public cloud solutions
  • Strong experience working with virtualization technologies
  • Strong experience working with server operating systems
  • Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Strong data gathering interviewing and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
  • Strong leadership sound judgment and business and technology acumen skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Ability to coach mentor and provide feedback to team members in a timely manner
  • Strong experience working with Citrix Netapp and Linux
  • Microsoft Windows or MacOS and Microsoft Office proficient
  • Strong knowledge of systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows network environments
  • Experience in managing complex projects
  • Up to 5% travel time required
