Project Role Description:
Assist in defining requirements, designing, and building data center technology components, as well as conducting testing efforts to ensure smooth infrastructure functioning.
Summary:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and conducting testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manage team performance.
- Responsible for team decisions and engagement with multiple teams on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Conduct regular infrastructure assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain data center technologies, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design infrastructure solutions.
- Manage and monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and security.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure engineering.
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Internet Information Server (IIS) Administration.
- Good to Have Skills: Experience with Commvault Backup Administration.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Additional Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Internet Information Server (IIS) Administration is required.
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
