We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Linux Infrastructure Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure for our organizations Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Linux systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement GCP and Linux infrastructure solutions to meet business needs
- Maintain and troubleshoot GCP and Linux systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Manage and optimize GCP resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking
- Configuring and maintaining GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage
- Setting up and maintaining Linux servers, including web, email, database, and file servers
- Monitor and report on the health and performance of GCP and Linux systems
- Collaborate with development teams to support the deployment and maintenance of applications on GCP and Linux platforms
- Develop and maintain documentation and procedures related to GCP and Linux infrastructure
- Managing users and permissions
- Configuring and securing networks
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members Clients as needed
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with GCP and Linux infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance
- Strong understanding of networking and security best practices in a cloud environment
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or similar certification
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
