Job Description
GPS utilises Internet based networks as a core component of their business model. The
company maintains a multi-site private on-premises network, has integrations with cloud
services, and manages a portfolio of globally dispersed clients.
The candidate will join a global Infrastructure team operating out of the UK, South Africa, India
and Australia. Working with a growing team of operations and application support staff in
Australia, the candidate will provide follow the sun support for our global platform.
The candidate must have an in-depth knowledge technical knowledge of Windows Server
running on VMware and AWS including management of the underlying estates. Ideally with
experience working in a finance or similar secured environment, the candidate will be
required to undertake BAU and project activities.
The role is based on Australian working hours but the role may require the candidate to work
unsocial hours and participate in a global on-call rota.

Skills, Ability and Experience
- Excellent Windows Server specialist 20xx, AD.
- AWS management of multiple accounts, implementation, and automation.
- Enhanced Windows security, multiple domains, vulnerability management
- VMware ESX and Veeam backup.
- DEVOPS, build and administration automation, scripting and PowerShell.
- On-premise hardware management ideally IBM/Lenovo with SAN/iSCSI troubleshooting.
- Alerting, Capacity and configuration management.
- IT Security(IAM, Policies, ACL, Security Groups)
- Excellent communication skills working with internal customers and Infrastructure team.
- Excellent documentation skills, including skills transfer. Attention to detail.
- Demonstration of basic project management, running migration projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
Desirable
- Troubleshooting skills
- Automation Terraform and Ansible and other automation tools.
- Industry wide certifications, Microsoft, AWS, VMware.
- Microservice. Application virtualisation with .net core.
- Experience with Tripwire, CyberArk, AppDynamics would be advantageous
- Support Developers/Devops/CI-CD functionality
- ITIL
- Linux skills.
- App-Dynanics/Nagios/SNMP/SEIM integration.
