Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner

Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:

As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves delivering first and second level technical assistance for infrastructure, systems, and applications across both production and development settings. Candidate will have expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and demonstrate strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, along with solid knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while managing DNS configurations and automating infrastructure provisioning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine instances, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and other cloud services

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management

Configure and manage Cloud DNS zones, DNS records, and ensure high availability of DNS infrastructure

Administer and troubleshoot both Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server environments

Implement security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and network security controls

Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, optimize resource utilization, and manage costs

Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and cloud solutions

Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity

Professional & Technical Skills:

4-8 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or DevOps

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and solutions

Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and management

Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration and command-line tools

Working knowledge of Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting

Proficiency with Cloud DNS configuration, management, and DNS protocols

Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)

Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform Administration.

Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build)

Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and logging solutions

Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Experience with database management and optimization (Cloud SQL, Firestore
