Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
This role is responsible for the provisioning maintenance optimization and decommissioning of databases hosted on Exadata AWS EC2 AWS RDS and on-prem VMs.
The DBA will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance resiliency and performance tuning of Oracle databases.
The ideal candidate will ensure the availability and consistent performance of our applications and databases.
This role requires deep relational database knowledge strong communication and problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The candidate will demonstrate strong thought leadership have a continuous improvement mindset with the desire to automate processes and reduce manual effort wherever possible.
- 5-7 years of Oracle Database Administration
- Automation: Bash Python
- Performance Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance issues
- Backup and Recovery: Setting up and troubleshooting database backups. Performing successful restore operations.
- Error Troubleshooting: Identifying cause and resolution of database errors
- Security Management: Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Database Migration: Experience in mass migration of data / database cloning.
- Database Configuration: Manage database parameters and configurations.
- Additional: Knowledge of Postgres and SQL Server is a plus.
