Information Technology System Administrator

IT Systems Administrator On-Premise Infrastructure & Desktop Support (L2)

We're looking for a skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining our on-premise IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our systems. If you're a proactive problem-solver with experience in system administration, networking, and Level 2 desktop support, we want to hear from you.

Network and Security Management

• Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Configure and monitor security policies, VLANs, and traffic flow.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and ensure secure, stable network operations.

Server and System Administration

• Manage on-premise Linux servers and TrueNAS storage systems.
• Oversee user accounts, file shares, backup systems, and patch management.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.

End-User Support (L2)

• Provide Level 2 technical support for Windows desktop users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Assist with workstation setups, imaging, and user onboarding.

Documentation

• Create and maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, network layouts, procedures, and support workflows.

• Experience: 35 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT system administration or technical support.
• Networking: Solid knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls.
• Operating Systems: Proficient in Windows desktop support and experienced with Linux server environments.
• Storage Systems: Familiarity with TrueNAS or other network-attached storage (NAS) solutions.
• Certifications (Advantageous):
• CCNA or other networking certifications are a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
