Job Description – Manager / Lead – IT Infrastructure & Information Security

About the Role

We are looking for a highly dependable and proactive IT professional who can take complete ownership of our IT infrastructure, access governance, data security, and operational continuity. This role is critical in ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed systems with zero operational dependency on any individual and no compromise on information security.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in IT administration, governance frameworks, endpoint security, access management, and infrastructure operations while driving best practices across the organization.

Experience Required

5–8+ years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure, Information Security, or IT Governance

Experience in startup, consulting, or fast-paced environments preferred

Key Responsibilities

Access Governance & Identity Management

Manage and centralize user access across all business tools, software, cloud platforms, and internal systems

Implement and maintain RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), MFA, password policies, and admin hierarchies

Own employee onboarding/offboarding access processes across departments

Conduct periodic access audits and eliminate unauthorized or inactive access

Ensure there is no single-point dependency for critical credentials or administrative ownership

Data Security & Information Protection

Establish strong security practices to prevent data leaks, breaches, and unauthorized access

Implement endpoint security, antivirus, encryption, device compliance, and monitoring systems

Drive password governance, backup policies, and incident response protocols

Monitor infrastructure and user activities for potential security risks

Ensure secure handling of company, client, and employee data

Infrastructure & Systems Management

Maintain centralized records and ownership of:

Cloud infrastructure

Domains & hosting

Software licenses

Internal tools & subscriptions

Source code repositories

Vendor accounts & renewals

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT operations and renewals

Ensure system uptime, reliability, and operational continuity

Device & Endpoint Management

Manage laptops, desktops, and employee devices across the organization

Enforce device-level security policies and compliance standards

Enable remote wipe, encryption, and access recovery mechanisms

Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle tracking

Documentation, Audits & Compliance

Create and maintain centralized IT documentation, SOPs, and access logs

Conduct periodic audits for infrastructure, security, and access governance

Maintain compliance records and ensure process adherence

Build scalable documentation to reduce operational dependency

Business Continuity & Risk Management

Ensure critical systems and credentials are securely documented and accessible to authorized stakeholders

Build disaster recovery and business continuity mechanisms

Minimize operational risk arising from employee exits or dependency on individuals

Establish governance practices for secure and sustainable IT operations

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud Platforms

Expertise in Access Management, RBAC, MFA, and Identity Governance

Experience with endpoint security, device management, and IT compliance

Knowledge of security best practices, backup systems, and incident response

Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS/Azure, Jira, Slack, GitHub, MDM tools, etc.

Strong documentation, audit, and process orientation

Excellent problem-solving and ownership mindset
