Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Support Technician. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for day-to-day technical support such as desktop computers, printer support, troubleshooting, and computer repairs. The role will also involve maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure and equipment.
Qualifications

- Experience in troubleshooting and computer repairs

- Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus
Proficient understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, and WAN terminology, including IP Subnetting, IP packet flow, and DHCP packet flow.
- Strong knowledge base in Active Directory and VMWare technologies.
- Familiarity with static and dynamic routing, as well as Switching Protocols.
- Hands-on experience in configuring IP and static routing on Windows and Linux OS.
- Expertise in Firewall, Antivirus, and VPN technologies, including the creation, troubleshooting, and setup of VPN tunnels (Site to Site, SD WAN), with proficiency in Sophos XGS 4XXX series and 2XXX, 1XX series.
- Comprehensive understanding of TCP/UDP ports and adept use of network tools like Wireshark.
- Proven experience in network operations and support environments.
- Technical proficiency in providing L1/L2 level network monitoring for various connectivity types such as Broadband, ILL, MPLS, and SLA monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in basic fault finding, escalation, and efficient issue resolution within defined SLAs.
- Strong ability to follow and document operational processes.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, management tools, and analysis tools.
- Strong Knowledge in Switching and Routing (CCNA & CCNP will be an advantage)
- Proficient in setting up and troubleshooting server, storage, and backup devices.
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, Trimble, and Bluebeam applications, with the ability to provide support.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative approach as a team player.
- Analytical mindset, capable of analysing situations and delivering effective problem resolution.
