Job Summary
The IT Security Manager is responsible for safeguarding the digital infrastructure of the manufacturing enterprise, including IT and OT (Operational Technology) environments. This role entails overseeing cybersecurity governance, risk mitigation, compliance, and the protection of plant-level and enterprise-level data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive IT and OT security strategies aligned with industry best practices and business objectives.
- Establish and maintain security policies and procedures covering IT infrastructure, SCADA/PLC systems, and IOT devices.
- Oversee security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response across both corporate IT and shop floor networks.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Plant Maintenance teams to ensure secure integration of automation and control systems.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and vulnerability scans; implement controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulations like ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, and applicable local data protection laws.
- Manage security audits, coordinate responses, and drive closure of audit findings.
- Administer firewalls, endpoint protection, DLP, SIEM, and secure remote access (VPN, ZTNA).
- Lead user awareness and training initiatives across manufacturing units and corporate teams.
- Maintain incident and breach logs; coordinate forensic investigations and root cause analyses when needed.
- Drive business continuity and disaster recovery plans from a security standpoint, including plant operations resilience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience with at least 3–5 years in an information security role within a manufacturing or industrial setup.
- Working knowledge of ICS/SCADA, OT security, network segmentation, and secure protocols in industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with firewall administration, SIEM tools, and endpoint security platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity incident response frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work across IT, OT, and plant operations functions.
