Job Summary

Presidency Group of Schools is looking for an experienced and technically proficient IT Manager to manage and oversee the school's IT infrastructure, systems, network, hardware, software, cybersecurity, and technical support operations across the school.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable and secure IT services for academic, administrative, and management functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall IT infrastructure and day-to-day technology operations of the school.
• Plan, implement, maintain, and monitor LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, servers, switches, routers, and other network infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, smart boards, CCTV systems, biometric devices, and other IT equipment.
• Provide timely technical support to teachers, administrative staff, students, and management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, internet, and system-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, system permissions, and IT assets.
• Ensure regular backup of important school data and support data recovery processes.
• Monitor IT security and implement appropriate measures to protect school systems and data.
• Ensure antivirus, firewall, operating system, and software updates are maintained.
• Coordinate with internet service providers, AMC vendors, software providers, and other technology vendors.
• Manage IT procurement, vendor negotiations, quotations, AMC renewals, and service contracts.
• Maintain an updated inventory and asset register for all IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain school ERP, LMS, attendance systems, communication platforms, and other technology applications.
• Support online examinations, digital classrooms, virtual meetings, presentations, and school events.
• Coordinate with the central IT/management team for technology implementation and standardization across schools.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Train and guide teachers and administrative staff on the effective use of IT systems and applications.
• Ensure minimum downtime and timely resolution of critical IT issues.
• Prepare IT reports, maintenance records, asset reports, and other documentation for management.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions to improve school operations.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• MBA/PG qualification in IT or relevant certification will be an added advantage.
• 5–10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a school, educational institution, or multi-location organization.
• Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, software, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in managing IT vendors and technical support teams.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity, data backup, access control, and IT asset management.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple schools/locations and handle IT operations independently.
• Should be proactive, organized, service-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
