Mid-Day is looking for an experienced and strategic Sr Manager of IT to lead and manage the organization's IT function. The role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, systems, security, and digital initiatives while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will drive technology improvements, support business needs, and lead the IT team in a fast-paced media environment.
Key Responsibilities: -
Infrastructure & Network Engineering
- Total Infrastructure Oversight: End-to-end management of servers (physical and virtual), desktops, and networking hardware (firewalls, switches, routers).
- Active Directory & Identity: Maintain AD architecture, Group Policy, and secure identity management.
- Network & Website Security: Conduct and oversee regular VAPT( Vulnerability Assessment and penetration Testing) and Network Pentesting to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
Developer & Website Support
- DevOps Synergy: Provide robust infrastructure support to the development team, including CI/CD environment stability and server-side configurations.
- Domain & Website Infrastructure: Manage the hosting environment, domain portfolios, DNS settings, and SSL certificate lifecycles to ensure 100% uptime.
- Cloud & Domain Management: Oversee cloud server scaling (AWS/Azure/GCP) and ensure timely domain/hosting renewals, cost-efficiency, and scaling.
Digital Team & Multimedia Support
- Media Optimization: Support the Digital Team by managing specialized video optimization software and hardware (transcoding servers, high-speed storage, and GPU-accelerated workstations).
- Asset Management: Maintain a rigorous inventory of all hardware and software assets, tracking lifecycles and procurement needs.
Cybersecurity & Defense
- DDoS & Threat Mitigation: Implement advanced traffic filtering and DDoS protection strategies.
- Endpoint Security: Manage enterprise-wide antivirus, EDR solutions, and patch management.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT and Dev operations align with global security standards and data privacy laws.
- Backup & Recovery: Implement and test robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans.
Vendor & Operational Leadership
- Vendor Relations: Manage contracts and SLAs with ISPs, cloud providers, and software vendors.
- Remote Support: Lead a helpdesk team capable of providing high-level remote troubleshooting for a distributed workforce.
- Budgeting: Manage the IT department's CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
