Position: IT Manager
Location: South Bombay
Role Summary
As an IT Executive, you will maintain and support our IT infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and help implement IT projects and enhancements. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology operations and contribute to efficiency gains.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor, maintain, and support networks, servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, patches, and updates.
- Respond to helpdesk requests, diagnose problems, and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Manage and maintain data backups, data integrity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, access control, and data protection standards.
- Assist in vendor management procuring hardware/software, evaluating service contracts.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
- Support IT projects: coordinate requirements, assist in rollouts, conduct testing, and document changes.
- Train users on new systems, technology tools, and standard operating procedures.
- Generate reports and documentation on system performance, incidents, and metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT operations, technical support, or related role.
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networks (LAN, WAN, VPN), and server infrastructure.
- Experience with hardware setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with virtualization, cloud services, and backup solutions is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently under pressure.
- Understanding of IT security best practices, firewalls, antivirus, access control.
