Position Title: IT Manager

Role Overview
The IT Manager will be responsible for organization-wide IT governance, with a primary focus on device management, IT safety and security protocols, technology platform licensing, and internal IT operations.
The role ensures that all digital tools, organizational devices, and technology platforms used by internal teams and field staff are secure, compliant, well-governed, and operationally efficient.
This position works closely with operations, programs, and the internal technology team, while excluding ownership of core system development or platform engineering, which is handled by a dedicated tech team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organization-Wide Device Management
- Own the complete lifecycle management of all organizational devices including laptops, tablets, smartphones, peripherals, and networking equipment.
- Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register covering allocation, usage, condition, upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning.
- Define and enforce device usage, access, and return policies for office teams, field staff, and partners.
- Coordinate device provisioning, configuration, and handover for new hires, field deployments, and partner programs.
2. IT Safety, Security & Protocols
- Define, implement, and enforce IT safety and cybersecurity protocols across the organization.
- Manage endpoint security measures such as device-level access control, encryption, antivirus, and remote wipe mechanisms.
- Ensure secure handling and storage of sensitive operational, partner, and health-related data.
- Conduct periodic IT safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
- Act as the first point of coordination during IT security incidents, data breaches, or device loss events.
3. Technology Platform Licensing & Compliance
- Manage licensing for all technology platforms, software tools, and digital solutions used by the organization.
- Ensure licenses are compliant with usage scope, user volumes, geographies, and partner or contractual requirements.
- Track renewals, usage thresholds, and costs, and identify opportunities for license optimization.
- Support commercial, CSR, and government partnerships with required licensing documentation and compliance details.
- Manage the offering, allocation, and ongoing administration of WHIMS platform licenses to external partners, including CSR, government, and institutional clients, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, usage scope, and data governance requirements.
4. Internal IT Operations & Support
- Oversee day-to-day internal IT operations and end-user support (excluding system development and infrastructure ownership).
- Set up and manage IT helpdesk processes, issue tracking mechanisms, and escalation workflows.
- Coordinate with internal technology teams and external vendors for resolution of IT issues when required.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and documentation for common IT processes and troubleshooting.
5. IT Policy, Compliance & Governance
- Develop, document, and enforce organizational IT policies related to device usage, access management, data handling, and acceptable use.
- Ensure alignment with applicable Indian IT and data protection regulations, including the DPDP Act.
- Support internal audits, partner due diligence, and compliance reviews related to IT systems, devices, and digital tools.
6. Coordination with Operations, Tech & Partners
- Act as a bridge between operations, field teams, partners, and the internal technology team.
- Ensure IT and device readiness before program launches, scale-ups, or new partner deployments.
- Support onboarding and training of internal teams, field staff, and partners on IT tools, device usage, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in IT operations, enterprise IT management, or IT governance roles.
- Strong experience in organizational device management and endpoint security.
- Hands-on experience managing software licensing, renewals, and vendor coordination.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in health-tech, GovTech, CSR programs, or large-scale field operations.
- Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and audit requirements in regulated environments.
- Experience supporting distributed teams
