IT Facility Manager requirement:

  • Experience: 5+ years in IT infrastructure FMS.

Core Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance & Operations: Manage the upkeep of IT infrastructure including servers, data centers, and network systems. Ensure HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems support IT operations efficiently.
  • Infrastructure Oversight: Monitor and maintain hardware, software, and networking components. This includes ensuring uptime, managing backups, and overseeing disaster recovery protocols. Generate SLA reports.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement physical and digital security measures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO, HIPAA, or GDPR depending on the organization.
  • Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinate with external vendors/OEMs for equipment, services, and maintenance. Track IT assets and manage lifecycle from procurement to disposal. Reviewing draft agreements & recommending changes to mitigate the financial & other exposures.
  • Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Develop and manage budgets for facility upgrades, maintenance, and IT projects. Reviewing SOW & preparing commercial proposals for new opportunities. Plan for future growth and technology needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise technical staff, including IT support and facility technicians. Provide training and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT systems, data center operations, and facility engineering.
  • Project Management: Ability to lead cross-functional projects involving IT and facilities.
  • Problem Solving: Quick decision-making in high-pressure environments, especially during outages or emergencies.
  • Communication: Clear reporting to stakeholders and coordination with multiple departments.

Academic Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications (optional): PMP, ITIL, BICSI, or Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
