We are looking for an energetic and hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The role involves ensuring the performance, availability, integrity, and security of Ei's systems and networks. You will work closely with the IT Infrastructure & Security team and collaborate with SBUs (primarily Product and Technology) to build, support, and continuously improve infrastructure while maintaining a network uptime of 99.9%.
You will also play a key role in establishing processes and practices aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements (ISO 27001:2022)
Key Accountabilities
1. Build and maintain a strong systems engineering culture while adopting new tools and technologies.
2. Manage vendor relationships and IT assets.
3. Maintain ISMS (Information Security Management System) evidence and documentation.
4. Collect and analyze system performance data.
5. Support planning and execution of ISO certification audits.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure & Security, Product Management, Operations, Customer Support) to resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
1. Assess, recommend, and procure hardware/software solutions.
2. Manage vendor selection, quotes, procurement, AMC, licenses, renewals, and upgrades.
3. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and company devices.
4. Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, and spare devices.
5. Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues in a timely manner.
6. Perform routine audits to ensure compliance and prevent unauthorized software usage.
7. Set up and monitor LAN/WAN, wireless, and ISP services.
8. Configure and manage network technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
9. Administer Firewall, MDM, Active Directory, NAS, and local servers.
10. Manage office access and security systems (Access Control, CCTV, etc.).
11. Implement and maintain antivirus, DLP, VPN, and other endpoint security tools.
12. Perform patch management across devices.
13. Maintain detailed technical documentation (networks, assets, renewals, processes).
14. Support video conferencing and collaboration solutions.
15. Ensure backup and redundancy strategies are in place.
16. Conduct server room and network equipment maintenance.
17. Provide IT support with a positive, proactive, and problem-solving attitude.
18. Contribute to ISMS compliance and audits.
Technical Experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and system/network administration.
Strong knowledge of operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS/iOS.
Expertise in Firewall, VPN, AD, and network security.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and other networking protocols.
Preferred certifications: CCNA (or equivalent). Certifications in Security (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or Virtualization(e.g., VMware VCP) will be an added advantage.
Academic & Professional Background
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on industry experience in IT systems and infrastructure.
Proven expertise in Active Directory, Firewall management, and network migrations.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while meeting agreed targets.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams at different technical levels.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle stress and ambiguity.
