.Job Responsibilities:

• API Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs that adhere to best practices and industry standards, ensuring scalability, performance, and ease of use.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with external systems, third-party services, and platforms, enabling seamless data exchange and expanding functionality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, and frontend developers to define API requirements and deliver effective solutions that align with overall project goals.
• Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive API documentation, including technical specifications, usage guides, and sample code, to facilitate integration by other developers.
• Stay Updated: Continuously stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in API development, software engineering, and related technologies.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of APIs, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the delivery of reliable, bug-free code. Collaborate with the testing team to continuously improve API testing.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in API architecture, database queries, and network communications to ensure optimal speed and efficiency.
• Security and Authentication: Implement appropriate security measures, including authentication and authorization protocols, to protect APIs and ensure data privacy and integrity.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor API performance proactively and address any issues or errors. Perform regular maintenance tasks, including version upgrades and bug fixes.

Background & Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Strong knowledge of API frameworks and technologies, including REST and Express.JS/ASP.NET.
• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, including proficiency with version control systems like Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in tools for API design, such as Swagger, Stoplight, and Postman.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular being an added benefit.
• Acquaintance with Apigee deployments, Odata management, and Zalando API guidelines will complete your skill set.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and T4EA / AIG will be an additional advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and quickly adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code and solutions.
• Demonstrated passion for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends.
