Call for Applications: IT Consultant for Martin Luther Christian University
MLCU is seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT consultant to support and enhance the university's IT infrastructure. The consultant will have a key role in suggesting, evaluating, implementing, and optimising IT systems to support academic, administrative, and financial operations within the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, develop, and improve IT systems for fee payment processing, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
- Provide guidance on IT best practices, security protocols, and data management strategies.
- Enhance and maintain academic management systems for seamless access by students and faculty.
- Assist in developing and optimising transcript preparation and printing systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Offer technical support and training to university staff and faculty as needed.
- Ensure system integration and compatibility across different university departments.
- Recommend and implement upgrades, new technologies, and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in IT consulting, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of university management systems, financial software, and academic databases.
- Expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and database management.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyse, and provide IT solutions efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to train non-technical users.
- Experience in software development and integration is an added advantage.
