Major Areas of Accountability
Requirements Translation & Refinement
Translate business-level requirements from Web Platform Product Managers
into detailed technical specifications and user stories
Collaborate with commercial engineering teams to refine requirements,
ensuring clarity, completeness, and technical feasibility
Facilitate requirements workshops and refinement sessions with cross-
functional stakeholders
Document functional specifications, user flows, acceptance criteria, and edge
cases
Ensure requirements incorporate accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG), SEO
best practices, and platform governance guidelines
Agile Delivery & Scrum Participation
Participate in all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups,
refinement sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Work closely with the commercial engineering delivery manager and
development team to clarify requirements and answer questions throughout
the development cycle
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with Product
Managers
Track story progress, identify blockers, and communicate status to business
stakeholders
Monitor team velocity and delivery metrics, providing insights to Product
Managers and leadership
Solution Validation & Quality Assurance
Lead Business Validation Testing (BVT) to ensure delivered features meet
business requirements and acceptance criteria
Coordinate UAT activities with business stakeholders and content authors
Document and track defects, working with engineering teams to prioritize and
resolve issues
Validate that solutions align with brand standards, user experience guidelines,
and platform best practices
Ensure smooth handoff to web production specialists for enablement and
rollout
Platform Knowledge & Stakeholder Enablement
Maintain deep working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
platform capabilities, authoring workflows, components, and templates
Understand the marketing web ecosystem, including integrations with
analytics, personalization, and marketing automation tools
Serve as a subject matter expert on platform capabilities, advising
stakeholders on what's possible within existing frameworks
Create and maintain documentation including requirements specifications,
process flows, and training materials
Provide insights and recommendations to Product Managers based on delivery learnings and platform knowledge Communication Collaboration
Facilitate communication between business teams and commercial
engineering, ensuring alignment and shared understanding
Provide regular status updates to Product Managers and stakeholders on
delivery progress, risks, and dependencies
Escalate issues and risks proactively, working with teams to identify solutions
Build strong working relationships across product management, engineering,
UX design, and web production teams
Support change management efforts as new capabilities are delivered
Requirements Knowledge and Skills
Platform & Technical Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) authoring,
components, templates, and workflowsparticularly AEM as a Cloud Service
Understanding of Content Management Systems architecture and how
content, templates, and components enable digital experiences
Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) sufficient to
understand technical discussions and validate solutions
Knowledge of common marketing technology integrations (analytics,
personalization, CRM, marketing automation)
Understanding of web accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG), SEO principles,
and platform governance
Experience with API integrations and data flows between systems
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation techniques
Skilled at translating business needs into detailed functional specifications,
user stories, and acceptance criteria
Proficient in creating process flows, user journeys, wireframes, and
documentation
Strong analytical skills to identify gaps, dependencies, and risks in
requirements
Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira,
Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requirements and initiatives
simultaneously
Agile & Delivery Expertise
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and ceremonies
Experience managing product backlogs and working with development teams
in sprint cycles
Skilled at facilitating refinement sessions and ensuring stories are ready for
development
Knowledge of velocity tracking, burndown charts, and Agile metrics
Experience conducting Business Validation Testing (BVT) and User
Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance
practices
Communication & Collaboration
Exceptional communication skillsable to bridge business stakeholders and
technical teams effectively
Strong facilitation skills for workshops, refinement sessions, and cross-
functional meetings

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or
related field required
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in digital platforms,
marketing technology, or web products
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in full
sprint cycles
Proven track record translating business requirements into technical
specifications
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar Content
Management Systems strongly preferred
Experience with Azure Dev Ops strongly preferred
