Job Summary
Lenskart is looking for a highly organized and proactive Manager IT Asset Management to own and optimize the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets across our corporate offices, warehouses, manufacturing units, and retail stores. This role will ensure accurate asset tracking, cost optimization, compliance, and alignment with Lenskart's rapid expansion and digital-first operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset Lifecycle Management
- Own the complete lifecycle of IT assets including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, transfer, and disposal
- Manage assets such as laptops, desktops, POS systems, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, and software licenses
- Ensure accurate asset tagging and real-time inventory visibility across locations
Process & Governance
- Define, implement, and continuously improve IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies, SOPs, and controls
- Ensure compliance with internal audits, security standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain asset documentation, contracts, warranties, and AMC records
Cost Optimization & Vendor Management
- Drive cost efficiencies through asset reuse, standardization, and optimized procurement cycles
- Work closely with procurement to evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage SLAs
- Track asset-related budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives
Tools & Automation
- Implement and manage ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, or equivalent)
- Integrate ITAM with ITSM, procurement, and finance systems for end-to-end visibility
- Leverage automation and analytics to reduce manual effort and improve reporting
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with IT Infrastructure, InfoSec, Finance, HR, Retail Ops, and Supply Chain teams
- Support rapid onboarding/offboarding of employees and store rollouts
- Act as the SPOC for asset-related escalations and audits
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare dashboards and MIS reports on asset utilization, aging, compliance, and costs
- Provide actionable insights to leadership for capacity planning and investment decisions
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- ITIL certification preferred (ITIL Foundation or higher)
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience in IT Asset Management or IT Operations
- At least 2 to 3 years in a managerial or lead role
- Experience managing assets at scale across multiple locations (retail or enterprise preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ITAM, ITIL, and ITSM best practices
- Hands-on experience with ITAM / ITSM tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
