Role Description The Information System Administrator is a full-time, remote role responsible for maintaining and supporting Scienaptic's internal information systems and infrastructure. This role involves monitoring system performance, managing user accounts and access controls, and ensuring the reliability and security of servers, networks, and applications. The Information System Administrator will perform regular updates and patches, troubleshoot system and network issues, and provide timely technical support to internal teams. The role also includes documenting configurations and procedures, assisting with backup and recovery processes, and collaborating with security and engineering teams on system improvements and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Information Systems, with experience managing enterprise applications and environments.
• Proficiency in System Administration, including user access management, server configuration, and routine maintenance.
• Experience with Network Administration, covering basic routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve system and user issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with security best practices, access control, and data protection in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience with common operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and basic scripting or automation tools is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
