We are seeking an experienced
Informatica Production Support Analyst with 3-4 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This role focuses on the ongoing support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of ETL processes in a
production environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of
SQL,
Scripting and basic
retail domain concepts, along with experience in supporting Informatica PowerCenter / IDMC workflows in a live, business-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support day-to-day Informatica ETL processes in a production environment to ensure the successful execution of data workflows.
- Respond to incidents and issues raised by business users or the IT team related to Informatica PowerCenter/IDMC jobs, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
- Investigate and analyze job failures, data discrepancies, or performance bottlenecks and work on resolution or escalation when necessary.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future disruptions.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy fixes, patches, and enhancements to production environments.
- Work with SQL to query data, perform data validation, and verify data integrity issues between source and target systems.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders in the retail domain to ensure that the production ETL processes meet business requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure data quality and consistency by validating transformation logic and resolving data issues in the ETL pipelines.
- Maintain and update documentation for production support activities, including troubleshooting guides, escalation procedures, and runbooks.
- Perform routine health checks on ETL jobs, schedules, and monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-call support for critical production issues as needed (rotation-based, depending on the team's schedule).
- Open to work in shifts as per the business requirement.
Skills And Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter development or production support, with a strong understanding of the ETL process.
- Good to have knowledge and experience in IDMC
- Proficient in SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and resolving data-related issues in databases (such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, HANA etc.).
- Should have good knowledge and experience in scripting language like Linux/Unix.
- Basic knowledge of retail domain processes such as sales data processing, inventory management, and customer data integration.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and incident management within a production environment.
- Familiarity with production support tools and ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
- Good understanding of data integration, data quality, and data monitoring concepts.
- Experience with Informatica workflows, sessions, and mappings, along with error handling in a production environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple issues concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams, business users, and technical teams.
- Ability to create and maintain clear documentation on troubleshooting steps, procedures, and resolutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of any other ETL tools or technologies is a plus.
- Experience with retail-related data (e.g., sales, inventory, supply chain, Price, Product etc.).
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) or integration tools is beneficial.
- Understanding of monitoring tools like Informatica Power Center Monitor, IDMC, Tidal, MFT, Service Now, JIRA or other job scheduling/monitoring systems.
