Teamware Solutions is seeking an Informatica PowerCenter Specialist to design, develop, implement, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient data integration, transformation, and delivery across various enterprise systems, supporting critical business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Development: Design, develop, and implement complex ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and transformations.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Data Sourcing & Integration: Configure connections to various data sources (databases, flat files, APIs, etc.) and integrate data effectively into target systems.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize Informatica mappings and workflows for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data processing and timely job completion.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Informatica PowerCenter jobs, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks. Provide ongoing support for ETL processes in production environments.
- Data Quality & Validation: Implement data quality rules and validation checks within Informatica workflows to ensure the accuracy and integrity of integrated data.
- Scheduling & Monitoring: Set up and manage job schedules, monitor ETL processes, and handle error logging and recovery mechanisms.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL designs, mappings, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data warehousing teams, database administrators, and business users to ensure seamless data flow and meet business needs.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration methodologies.
- Experience with designing and developing Informatica mappings, transformations, sessions, and workflows.
- Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying various database systems.
