Primary Skills:

Communication

• Strong verbal/written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to understand ETL & reporting requirements and explain technical concepts in business terms.

Requirement Gathering

• Skilled in collecting and analyzing business needs and converting them into technical specs.
• Good understanding of end-to-end data flow, transformation logic, and dependencies.
• Ability to define functional & technical requirements for ETL and BI integrations.

Informatica (Core Skill):

ETL Workflow Design & Development

• Hands-on experience in building mappings, sessions, and workflows.
• Expertise in complex transformations (Lookup, Joiner, Aggregator, Router, Update Strategy, etc.).
• Ability to develop scalable, maintainable ETL pipelines.

Advanced ETL Troubleshooting

• Strong debugging skills for job failures, log analysis, data mismatches, logic errors, and connectivity issues.
• Good understanding of incremental loads, CDC, and orchestration.

Performance Optimization

• Experience tuning mappings, sessions, workflows using partitioning, pushdown optimization, and tuning transformations.
• Skilled in identifying bottlenecks via logs/performance metrics.

ETL Deployment & Script Management

• Experience promoting ETL code across Dev/Test/Prod.
• Capable of preparing deployment scripts and performing validations.
• Ensures data accuracy across environments.

SQL

• Strong in writing optimized SQL queries for ETL logic/validation.
• Expertise with joins, aggregations, window functions, and analytical queries.
• Skilled in debugging and analyzing data inconsistencies.

Qlik Support (QlikView / Qlik Sense)

Dashboard & Data Model Support

• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to data loads, reload scripts, QVDs, and data models.
• Experience validating QVD generation and analyzing reload logs.
• Resolves ETL-to-dashboard data mismatches.

Task & Server Monitoring

• Experience monitoring QMC tasks, reload schedules, task dependencies.
• Handles task failures, script errors, access issues, and reload performance.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Works closely with BI developers, analysts, and business teams.
• Participates in RCA for BI/ETL data discrepancies.

Good to Have Skills

• Basic scripting knowledge: Shell / Python / PowerShell.
• Experience with job schedulers: Control-M, Autosys, Cron.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Understanding of cloud data platforms (optional).
