Informatica Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Extract data from various sources including databases, flat files, and external APIs.
• Transform and cleanse data to meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Load processed data into target data warehouses, data marts, or data lakes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Optimize ETL workflows and mappings for performance and scalability.
• Monitor ETL processes and troubleshoot failures or performance issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and metadata.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
• Good understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting in Informatica.
• Experience working with different data formats such as CSV, XML, JSON is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python) for automation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
