Informatica Data Engineer

Job Description & Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer – Informatica to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance data integration solutions for enterprise data platforms. The role involves hands‑on development using Informatica tools (PowerCenter / IDMC / Cloud Data Integration), close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders, and adherence to enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Senior Associate_ Data Engineer Informatica_Data and Analytics_Advisory_ Bangalore

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IDMC
• Build robust data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows
• Work with enterprise data warehouses and data lakes
• Optimize mappings, workflows, and sessions for performance and scalability
• Ensure data quality, validation, reconciliation, and lineage
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support data migration and modernization programs
• Follow governance, security, and compliance standards
• Document technical designs and operational procedures
• Provide production support and mentor junior engineers

Mandatory skill sets:

• 3+ years of experience with Informatica (PowerCenter / IDMC)
• Strong ETL/ELT and data integration knowledge
• Advanced SQL skills
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience with large‑scale enterprise datasets
• Unix/Linux and scheduling tool exposure
• Agile delivery experience

Preferred skill sets:

• Cloud exposure (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Informatica Cloud or CDC experience
• Python or shell scripting
• Data governance and metadata tools
• Analytics or AI/ML data pipeline exposure

Years of experience required:

3 to 8 years

Education qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Informatica certification is a plus
