Job Description: Informatica CDGC Consultant (High‑Tech / Semiconductor)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog) Consultant to support enterprise‑level data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives within a high‑tech semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience implementing CDGC, strong understanding of data governance frameworks, and familiarity with the complex data ecosystems typical of semiconductor operations (MES, ERP, supply chain, engineering, yield, and manufacturing data).
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, governance leadership, and the ability to partner with cross‑functional teams to drive data transparency, lineage, and trust across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Informatica CDGC Implementation & Configuration
- Implement and configure Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), including:
- Metadata ingestion and cataloging
- Business glossary creation and stewardship workflows
- Data lineage mapping across systems
- Policy and rule configuration
- Integrate CDGC with enterprise systems such as:
- SAP (ECC/S/4), MES (Camstar, Applied, custom MES), PLM, data lakes, and analytics platforms
- Establish automated metadata harvesting from databases, ETL pipelines, APIs, and cloud platforms.
Data Governance & Stewardship
- Define and operationalize data governance frameworks aligned with semiconductor manufacturing needs.
- Partner with data owners, stewards, and SMEs to define business terms, data standards, and quality rules.
- Support governance councils and working groups with clear documentation and insights.
- Drive adoption of CDGC across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and IT teams.
Metadata, Lineage, and Data Quality
- Build end‑to‑end lineage for critical data domains such as:
- Manufacturing, yield, WIP, equipment, supply chain, procurement, and quality
- Identify data quality issues and support remediation strategies.
- Enable traceability across complex multi‑stage semiconductor processes.
- Support compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting through accurate metadata and lineage.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with data engineering, analytics, ERP, MES, and IT architecture teams.
- Translate business requirements into CDGC configurations and governance workflows.
- Support training, onboarding, and change management for CDGC users.
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and continuous improvement recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
- 2–4+ years hands‑on experience with Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog).
- Strong understanding of metadata harvesting, lineage mapping, and business glossary design.
- Experience in high‑tech, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing (required).
- Familiarity with data flows across semiconductor systems: MES, ERP (SAP), PLM, yield systems, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience defining governance processes, stewardship roles, and data quality frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Informatica IDMC, Axon, EDC, or Data Quality.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures (MM, PP, QM, manufacturing).
- Experience with MES systems (Camstar, Applied, custom MES).
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing data (WIP, lots, genealogy, yield).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in data architecture or data engineering.
