Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Education of health care workers and patients
- Conduct daily rounds for hospital-acquired infection surveillance in high-risk areas like ER, OR, RDU, ICU, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy units
- Audit for Hand Hygiene, bundle care, disinfection adherence, biomedical waste management
- Conduct Vaccination Campaign and Immunisation
- Tracking Needle Stick Injuries
- To coordinate with Microbiology laboratory for tracking MDROs
- To coordinate with Clinical pharmacologists for antimicrobial stewardship
- Reporting of communicable diseases as per IDSP
- To submit the reports of data collection and infection rates to the Quality Department
- Participate in and contribute to the organizational quality initiatives
- Adhere to the safety norms of the hospital and follow both patient and staff safety rules
Any other responsibility as deemed fit, from time to time by the reporting authority and the management.
