About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, proactive, and results-driven Business Development Manager to support our Federal Industry Sales Teams. This role is key to driving business growth, managing a healthy sales pipeline, and exploring new market opportunities. The Federal Sales segment includes business from Defence corporates and DRDO labs, Space agencies, Public Sector Units (PSUs), Energy & Utilities, Railways, and more.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pipeline Management

  • Conduct Pipeline Health Check & Management (PHCM) of key metrics.
  • Analyze pipeline performance, identify gaps, and orchestrate corrective actions.
  • Track progress of key deals and conduct periodic reviews with Sales Management.
  • Ensure early identification and resolution of roadblocks for strategic opportunities.

2. Market Expansion & Influence

  • Collaborate with Sales Management on major accounts and vertical-specific programs.
  • Orchestrate execution of key programs across cross-functional teams.
  • Directly manage select high-impact programs (big bets).
  • Facilitate proactive engagement between internal (including global) teams.
  • Work with the Ecosystem and Partner teams to drive vertical-specific customer initiatives.

3. Strategic Support & Engagement

  • Partner with Sales Management to execute strategic industry initiatives.
  • Track trends, uncover expansion opportunities, and drive industry-specific engagements.
  • Define and monitor milestones and success criteria for strategic programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior customer executives and key industry influencers.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • UG: B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization
  • PG: MBA/PGDM preferred
  • Experience:
  • 15+ years in sales, business development, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in the Federal sector, particularly defence, is essential.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong expertise in pipeline management, market expansion, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools, dashboards, and BI tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically to deliver results.
