Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Trainee role based at Sayaji Hotels Ltd in Dehradun. The Industrial Trainee will support day-to-day hotel operations across designated departments, such as front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, and back-of-house functions, depending on rotational assignments. Responsibilities include assisting in process observations, collecting operational data, and supporting efficiency initiatives aligned with industrial engineering principles. The role involves participating in training sessions, shadowing experienced team members, and contributing to small improvement projects under supervision. The trainee will also help prepare basic reports, follow standard operating procedures, and consistently uphold brand service standards while interacting professionally with guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret operational data and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Excellent Communication skills for clear interaction with team members, trainers, and, where applicable, guests.
- Foundational knowledge or academic background in Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
- Interest or experience in Training environments, with willingness to learn continuously and apply feedback.
- Understanding of Manufacturing or process-oriented environments, with the ability to adapt concepts to hospitality operations.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Hospitality Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, maintain professional conduct, and follow established safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and comfort working with data and documentation.
