Job Title: Industrial Designer (Sheet Metal Design 2& Manufacturing Specialist)

We are looking for an Industrial Designer with the soul of a creative and the precision of a mechanical engineer.

You aren't just a concept artistyou are a maker. You understand that a beautiful design is only successful if it can be efficiently manufactured, assembled, and maintained. If you live for clean lines, tight tolerances, and the perfect bend radius, we want to talk to you.

The Role

As our Industrial Designer, you will bridge the gap between initial sketches and the factory floor. You'll be responsible for taking complex product requirements and turning them into elegant, functional, and production-ready sheet metal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize & Iterate: Develop innovative product aesthetics that align with our brand while solving functional mechanical challenges.
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Create comprehensive sheet metal designs, considering material yield, hardware integration (PEMs, rivets), and welding requirements.
  • Detailed Documentation: Produce flawless 2D technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
  • Prototyping: Work hands-on with fabrication teams to refine designs from first-article through to final production.
  • Detail Obsession: Ensure every seam, fastener, and finish meets a high standard of craftsmanship.

What You Bring to the Table

  • The Technical Core: A strong background in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design with a heavy focus on mechanical systems.
  • Sheet Metal Expertise: You speak the language of K-Factors, bend allowances, and gauge thicknesses. You know how to design for CNC turret punches, lasers, and press brakes.
  • Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360 (specifically Sheet Metal modules).
  • Creative Flair: The ability to make industrial look intentional. You care about ergonomics, CMF (Color, Material, Finish), and user experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience bringing physical products to market in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with finishing processes (powder coating, anodizing, plating).
  • Knowledge of thermal management and IP-rated enclosure design.
  • A portfolio that shows behind the scenes photos of messy prototypes alongside the polished final product.
