General information
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering for Schaeffler India Ltd (formerly Vitesco Technologies) at the Pune, Talegaon Plant. This position plays a crucial role in developing processes and coordinating with internal stakeholders to successfully launch new products at the plant.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and periodically review the process development plan with various cross-functional teams to ensure on-time execution.
- Budget Planning respect to the volume demands.
- Preparation of manufacturing cost estimates using the COM Tool, including capacity calculations, equipment costs, and operator headcount requirements.
- Coordination & Interactions with SMT Process, Testing, Logistics, Production, Quality, Purchase, Engineering, etc. for launch the projects.
- Conducting DFM review with Engineering for the new projects, during design phase.
- Development of Sample build line (A & B Sample) and execute the sample build.
- Development of Assembly equipment, SPM's, Testing equipment, Jigs and Fixtures for new product.
- New machines/ processes requirement finalization, purchasing, coordinate with vendor, installation & commissioning.
- Responsible for preparing the Process documents like PFD, PFMEA, Floor Plan Layout, Conducting capability study, Process validation, etc.
- Implementation of Tractability & Interlocking, Mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke), Single piece flow, SMED, etc.in the assembly line.
- Hands on experience in Statistical analysis, Six-sigma Green belt holder (preferrable), failure analysis tools, etc..
- Preparation of Safe launch plan for the new projects, Monitor the results with team and close the safe launch with appropriate actions.
- Provide year over year Equipment / Process performance improvement (Ex cycle time reduction, OEE improvement).
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics) with 8 to 10 years experience.
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in Automotive industry, preferrable in Electronics product manufacturing.
