Description
The Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, conducting assessments, and implementing necessary health and safety measures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace assessments to identify potential hazards and risks to worker health.
- Develop and implement effective industrial hygiene programs and policies.
- Perform air quality sampling and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyze and interpret data from monitoring equipment and prepare reports.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and exposure control measures.
- Collaborate with safety teams to develop strategies for minimizing risks in the workplace.
- Stay updated on industrial hygiene standards, regulations, and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
- Strong understanding of industrial hygiene regulations and standards in India.
- Proficiency in using industrial hygiene sampling equipment and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and management.
- Certification from a recognized body (e.g., CIH, FAIHA) is preferred.
