Job Description – Industrial Engineer / Analyst
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer / Analyst from the Garment & Textile industry to support and improve manufacturing efficiency across production operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, stitching operations, SMV calculations, earned values, productivity improvement, manpower optimization, and production monitoring techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve stitching line productivity and operational efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, motion studies, and SMV (Standard Minute Value) calculations for garment operations.
- Monitor earned values and production performance to ensure target achievement.
- Optimize manpower allocation and machine utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Identify and reduce production losses, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.
- Support production planning and line balancing activities.
- Prepare and maintain production efficiency reports, dashboards, and operational analysis.
- Implement industrial engineering techniques to improve workflow and reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Recommend process improvements for enhanced output, quality, and cost control.
- Monitor KPI performance related to productivity, efficiency, utilization, and wastage reduction.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of textile and garment manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of stitching operations and garment production flow.
- Expertise in SMV calculation, time study, motion study, and earned value analysis.
- Knowledge of line balancing and production monitoring systems.
- Ability to analyze production data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Garment / Textile industry.
- Prior experience in industrial engineering, production analysis, or manufacturing efficiency improvement is mandatory.
