Job Purpose
The Industrial Engineer – BB, Tarps & Stores executes plant-area Industrial Engineering work for Group Bayport's
BannerBuzz (signage & tarpaulin) production line, Tarps, and Stores/Warehousing, reporting to the Sr. Manager –
Industrial Engineering.
This is an individual-contributor role responsible for time & motion studies, line balancing, warehouse layout and visual
management specific to this area.

4,00,000 – 7,00,000 per annum (CTC), positioned within the band according to the candidate's years of relevant
experience and demonstrated hands-on IE skill — entry-level (3 years) toward the lower end, and experienced

Job Purpose
The Industrial Engineer – BB, Tarps & Stores executes plant-area Industrial Engineering work for Group Bayport's
BannerBuzz (signage & tarpaulin) production line, Tarps, and Stores/Warehousing, reporting to the Sr. Manager –
Industrial Engineering.
This is an individual-contributor role responsible for time & motion studies, line balancing, warehouse layout and visual
management specific to this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Time & Motion Studies
- Conduct time studies (SAM/MOST/stopwatch) on BannerBuzz signage and tarpaulin production processes
- Validate area process times against field data before they are proposed as standard; feed signed-off entries into
- Set and maintain Takt Time for BB/Tarps production lines against current demand.
- Warehousing & Stores Layout
- Map material and finished-goods flow through Stores/Warehousing; identify bottlenecks in put-away, picking and
- Design and standardise storage layout, bin/rack organisation and stores visual management (labelling, FIFO
- Support logistics coordination on dispatch flow and gate turnaround.
- Line Balancing & Changeover
- Balance manning and workstation layout on BB/Tarps lines against Takt Time.
- Execute SMED / quick-changeover initiatives on BB/Tarps production equipment, as directed by the Sr. Manager –

- Visual Management
- Implement hourly production tracking boards for BB/Tarps lines and Stores throughput, in coordination with the
- Introduce Poka-Yoke / mistake-proofing where quality or inventory-accuracy leakage is systemic rather than oneoff.
- BOM & Cross-Functional Support
- Support the MDM Team on BOM-linked time measurement (crew size / labour / machine calculation) for BB/Tarps
- Coordinate with the peer Industrial Engineer (Cutting & Aluminium Hardware) and escalate capacity- or inventoryimpacting
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Industrial, Apparel, Textile Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 3–8 years of Apparel manufacturing; exposure to Stitching/signage/print/banner production operations is
- Working knowledge of time & motion study methods (SAM/MOST/stopwatch).
- Comfortable working across production floor.
- Working proficiency in Excel.
- Hands-on, shop-floor-first problem solver.
- Organised, with a strong eye for layout and material flow.
- Disciplined, accurate data collection — time studies run to a standard, not an approximation.
- Collaborative — works cleanly with the Sr. Manager – IE, the peer plant-area IE, MDM and BPM.
- SAM entries validated for the BB/Tarps area, against the Sr. Manager – IE's overall plan.
- Takt Time adherence on BB/Tarps production lines.
- Stores inventory accuracy and put-away-to-pick cycle-time improvement.
- On-time delivery of production tracking board roll-out for the area.
