About Basil-

Basil is building next-generation automated beverage machines for modern workplaces and commercial spaces. Our products sit at the intersection of industrial design, UX, engineering, and manufacturing, with a strong focus on precision, hygiene, and user experience.

Responsibilities-

Collaborate closely with the Senior Industrial Designer on the design and development of a table-top automated cold beverage machine.

Work on end-to-end industrial design, including form development, CMF, and detailing.

Support design and refinement of the machine's HMI (HumanMachine Interface) in collaboration with UX and engineering teams.

Contribute to CMD (Control & Mechanical Design) coordination, ensuring design intent translates to engineering feasibility.

Create concept sketches, CAD models, and high-quality visualizations for internal reviews and stakeholder presentations.

Assist in design iterations based on engineering, manufacturing, and user feedback.

Skills & Tools-

Proficiency in Rhino or any equivalent surface-modelling software.

Working knowledge of SolidWorks / Fusion 360 or equivalent parametric CAD tools.

Experience with KeyShot or similar rendering software.

Strong sketching and visualization skills (digital or hand).

Ability to use AI tools for product visualization and ideation.

Clear and structured understanding of the industrial design process.

Basic knowledge of DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

Requirements-

Pursuing or recently graduated from B.Des / M.Des (Industrial Design) or a related discipline.

Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly within a cross-functional team.

Good presentation skills for sharing concepts, design rationale, and progress updates.

Available to join immediately.

Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
