Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Automation Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The Industrial Automation Engineer will design, program, test, and commission automation systems for industrial applications, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial networks. Responsibilities include integrating robotics and industrial IoT solutions, optimizing process control strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving electrical and control system issues at customer sites, preparing technical documentation, and providing end-user training and support. The engineer will also assist in project planning, participate in field installations and FAT/SAT, and help continuously improve system performance and safety.
Qualifications
  • Strong automation and process control skills, including experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and motion control.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for control panels, field instruments, communication networks, and system integration issues.
  • Solid foundation in electrical engineering, including reading schematics, panel design concepts, and understanding of industrial safety standards.
  • Exposure to robotics and industrial IoT solutions, with the ability to integrate robotic systems into automated production lines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with common industrial automation tools and software; familiarity with Delta, Yaskawa, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site at customer facilities, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
