Job Description

Oversee and manage the global indirect tax compliance function, ensuring adherence to VAT/GST and other indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions
Manage VAT/GST registrations with various international tax authorities
Lead and manage indirect tax audits and interactions with global tax authorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including indirect tax planning, tax technology, international accounting, and third-party service providers
Continuously enhance indirect tax compliance processes and controls
Work with engineering and product teams to define and implement VAT/GST compliance requirements
Develop and maintain VAT/GST control systems in line with changing regulations
Provide training and promote awareness around indirect tax issues, policies, and legislative changes
Who You Are:
You are an experienced tax professional with a deep understanding of global VAT/GST regulations and a passion for optimizing compliance operations.
Minimum Requirements:
46 years of experience in global indirect tax compliance, including managing large-scale initiatives
Previous in-house experience in a multinational business or professional services (legal/accounting firm)
In-depth knowledge of global indirect tax laws, including VAT and GST
Understanding of tax liability shifting models such as MoR (reseller), marketplace facilitator, and deemed seller
Strong time-management and project-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, able to adapt communication style for various audiences
Ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree or qualification (e.g. CPA, JD, LLM, or Master's in Tax/Law)
Experience in technology, payments, or financial services industries
