Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Ajmer within Project Bhaskar, Adaptiv's dedicated AI Lab. As an Indian History and Language Expert, you will play a key role in supporting the development of culturally accurate, linguistically strong, and historically grounded AI systems and content.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include researching Indian history, culture, literature, and regional contexts; validating and curating multilingual content; reviewing model outputs for factual accuracy, cultural nuance, and linguistic quality; and collaborating with product, research, and AI teams to improve the quality of history- and language-related datasets, prompts, and applications. You will help ensure that AI systems reflect authentic Indian knowledge systems, regional diversity, and language usage across contexts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and verify information related to Indian history, heritage, culture, and traditions
  • Review and validate AI-generated content for factual accuracy and cultural sensitivity
  • Support the creation, annotation, and refinement of datasets in Indian languages
  • Evaluate language quality across grammar, fluency, tone, and regional relevance
  • Assist in developing prompts, taxonomies, and evaluation frameworks for history and language tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, product teams, and content specialists
  • Contribute domain expertise for applications in education, culture tech, and language technology
Qualifications
  • Strong academic background in Indian History, Archaeology, Linguistics, Sanskrit, Hindi, Regional Languages, Cultural Studies, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of Indian history, historical sources, cultural contexts, and regional diversity
  • Proficiency in Hindi and/or one or more Indian regional languages; strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in content review, research, translation, annotation, or curriculum/content development
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in fact-checking and language quality assessment
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with language datasets, annotation projects, translation, transcription, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with classical texts, regional literature, or archival/historical research methods
  • Prior experience in EdTech, Culture Tech, publishing, research, or digital humanities
  • Interest in AI, language technologies, and the application of historical and cultural expertise in product development
