Job Description

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer leads the planning, design, and execution of test strategies to ensure high-quality product delivery. You'll develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing processes across projects.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll validate functionality against quality requirements, identify risks, and recommend improvements to testing standards and practices. You're accountable for ensuring solutions are reliable, fully functional, and deliver a strong user experience.

In this role, you'll also mentor and support QA Engineers and Junior QA Engineers, helping raise the overall quality bar across the team.

Core Job Duties

  • Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system
  • Analyze issues related to functionality, performance, usability, and data integrity
  • Participate in product and design reviews to identify risks and gaps early
  • Develop and maintain clear test documentation to ensure repeatability and compliance
  • Execute compatibility and regression testing across applications, environments, and platforms
  • Validate system changes prior to release and production deployment
  • Monitor defect resolution and partner with developers to drive timely fixes
  • Review technical and functional documentation for accuracy, completeness, and risk mitigation
  • Provide actionable feedback to improve software usability and quality
  • Maintain repositories of known defects and test assets
  • Set up and maintain test environments that mirror production
  • Monitor application performance to ensure stable, efficient operation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to diagnose issues and recommend solutions
