Join JPMorgan Chase's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Operations team in Mumbai and play a key role in broking operations for Cash Equity and Equity & Currency Derivatives (Futures & Options). As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within the Corporate and Investment Banking Operations team, you will manage the full trade lifecycle-from trade contracting and confirmations to clearing, settlement, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
Job responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end broking operations for Equity & Currency Derivatives (F&O), including trade contracting, clearing, and settlement.
- Execute operational controls such as margin and position limit monitoring, margin utilization, and exception management, escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, custodians, clearing members, exchanges (BSE/NSE), depositories, banks, and overseas desks to ensure smooth trade processing and resolve issues.
- Prepare and send trade confirmations, ensuring documentation meets internal and regulatory standards.
- Perform trade settlement and accounting activities, including bank accounting, ledger review, and break investigation.
- Prepare management information and operational reports for internal use.
Handle exchange, SEBI, and statutory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. - Respond to regulatory and client queries within agreed timelines, escalating as required.
- Perform reconciliations for positions, P&L, trial balance, and cash/ledger.
- Drive root cause analysis for recurring issues to improve straight-through processing and reduce client inquiries.
- Contribute to process reviews and support strategic initiatives to implement new processes and technology.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in stock broking operations, including trade lifecycle, settlement, accounting, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of India broking regulations and exchange frameworks (BSE/NSE), with knowledge of derivatives (future & options).
- Good accounting knowledge and hands-on experience investigating breaks and maintaining data integrity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage high volumes, and meet deadlines with accuracy and discipline.
- Strong risk and control mindset, ownership, and ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word experience with data/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath) is a plus.
- Understanding of India broking stock exchange operations, trade lifecycle, reconciliation rules, and custody coordination.
