The position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of index administrationfrom data quality checks to index reviews, and process automation. You will play a key role in ensuring that our indexes meet the highest standards required by ETF issuers, asset managers, and institutional clients worldwide. This role is a great fit for candidates with experience or interest in indexing, market data, or the ETF ecosystem who want to grow within a multicultural team, learn all areas of index operations, and be involved in new index initiatives. Please note you should be available for early working hours for this role (starting the day at around 4am IST).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:
- Monitor market conditions, data feeds, and input sources to proactively identify and resolve all issues impacting index maintenance and perform daily quality assurance checks to maintain high data integrity. Please note this duty requires early working shifts.
- Research and monitor corporate actions (e.g. dividends) and complex events (e.g. M&As).
- Prepare and validate data for calendar-based and trigger-based index rebalances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with methodology rules.
- Respond to client inquiries on index composition, methodology, data, corporate actions or other related items.
- Prepare regular index data, reports and operational insights to internal teams.
- Support the creation and maintenance of operational dashboards and process documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, and enhance automation for review processes, monitoring tools, data delivery and seamless operational workflows.
- Take a proactive approach in identifying opportunities to improve team efficiency and elevate service quality, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. German and other languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Competency in programming languages (such as Python, R, SQL) and process automation is a plus.
- Understanding of financial data sets and financial data applications is required.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Basic understanding of capital markets and digital asset (crypto) markets, with a strong interest in how traditional finance and digital assets intersect.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Ability to work 4am IST to 1pm IST on weekdays

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or similar
