We are looking for a skilled InDesign Developer to join our dynamic product development team. Our product plays a vital role in producing over 5.5 million pages of books and journals annually. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with InDesign scripting, particularly using JavaScript, to automate and streamline publishing workflows.

This is a full-time position within a well-established organisation of over 1,400 employees.

• Develop and maintain InDesign automation scripts using JavaScript.
• Maintaining the InDesign QC tool developed in C++ and the InDesign SDK.
• Work with both desktop and server-based InDesign APIs, with a focus on XML-based publishing workflows.
• Manage and manipulate XML and XSLT for content transformation.
• Generate web-ready PDFs and accessible PDF files through automated scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflow efficiency and product quality.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in JavaScript with the InDesign API.
• Proficient in managing XML/XSLT-based workflows.
• Proficient in C++ and InDesign SDK.
• Familiarity with EPUB, Python, or Perl is a plus.
• Strong understanding of InDesign pagination techniques.
• Experience in producing accessible and web-ready PDFs programmatically.

A background in Computer Science or related disciplines (e.g., B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc.) is preferred but not mandatory.
