We are seeking an experienced Independent Price Verification (IPV) Team Lead at the Associate Vice President level to own and lead price verification activities across front office traded instruments. The role will ensure accurate pricing consistent with established models, methodologies, and regulatory requirements, while driving process improvements and delivering high-quality outputs.

You will prepare, validate, and enhance IPV and associated processes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, providing leadership and guidance to junior team members. You will also be responsible for analyzing and presenting management information (MI) to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Independent Price Verification & Controls

• Lead and execute daily IPV processes for a diverse set of traded instruments.
• Ensure accurate pricing validation in line with models, methodologies, and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain and improve key processes, controls and tools used to record, process, and manage IPV.
• Perform ad-hoc valuations related to new trades, business changes, and exceptions impacting IPV outcomes.

Team Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Supervise, review, and mentor junior and peer team members to ensure high-quality and right-first-time results.
• Drive best practices across IPV and related functions.
• Oversee the effective operation of controls and ensure accurate documentation of control evidence.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong working relationships with Front Office, Finance, Risk, and other control functions.
• Respond to stakeholder queries and provide expert challenge on pricing, valuation issues, and product coverage.
• Present MI, findings, and decision-making materials to senior leaders.

Issue & Risk Management

• Own resolution of data, control, and process issues, including identifying control weaknesses and driving corrective actions.
• Support broader enterprise-wide risk and compliance requirements.

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of investment banking products including FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Repos, Bonds, or similar instruments.
• Hands-on experience in Product Control, Price Control or a similar financial control function within a complex global banking environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, valuation methodologies, and regulatory requirements impacting valuation and controls.

Analytical & Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and adoption of automation/co-pilot tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage relationships across teams and influence stakeholders to drive optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding junior staff and managing peer reviews.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience

Option B:

• MBA from Tier-1 / Tier-2 institute with 8+ years of relevant experience

• Strong background in Product Control / Price Control
• Hands-on responsibility for P&L ownership for products including:
• Fixed Income
• Derivatives
• Valuation Adjustments
• Experience developing, reviewing, and presenting financial and valuation reports including balance sheets
• Proven ability to collaborate with Front Office, Finance, and Risk teams
