About Team:
Expo is Walmart's in-house A/B testing and experimentation platform, developed and supported by Walmart Global Tech Data Platforms to meet the scale and unique requirements of Walmart's web and mobile applications. It enables teams to run statistically sound, experimentally valid tests with low lifecycle cost, allowing for data-driven evaluation of new features and changes. Expo is used across multiple Walmart customer-facing sites and apps, including walmart.com and international markets. The platform supports incremental rollout, risk reduction, and rapid iteration by letting teams preview, ramp up, or pause experiments as needed. The platform also supports real-time monitoring and provides exhaustive reports for tests.
What you will do:
- Apply up-to-date expertise to develop, execute, and improve software engineering plans, aligning efforts to meet customer and business requirements.
- Analyze business, stakeholder, and technical requirements, and assist in evaluating existing software solutions.
- Prepare and maintain requirement traceability matrices, ensuring alignment between business requirements, design, and test cases.
- Contribute to user story creation and configure minimalistic code for software components and applications.
- Select appropriate languages, standards, and tools for development, and build scripts to automate CI/CD, testing, and other processes.
- Implement telemetry and security features, map requirements to test objectives, and create and execute test cases.
- Track, analyze, and resolve defects, conduct regression testing, and troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks.
- Perform complex maintenance, monitor application performance, and evaluate software change requests for feasibility.
What you will bring:
- Experience building scalable, reusable, and maintainable UI components with React JS.
- Proficiency in writing modern, efficient, and maintainable client-side code using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience designing, consuming, and integrating APIs, including GraphQL with federated schemas.
- Experience creating and integrating backend APIs using Node.js.
- Familiarity with automated testing React Testing Library.
- Knowledge of client-side state management with Redux.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility using HTML and CSS.
- Skills in automating code integration, testing, and deployment using Git and Jenkins.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud environments with DevOps methodologies.
- Ability to implement responsive design principles and optimize applications for scalability and speed.
- Experience developing REST APIs using SpringBoot and Java.
