We are seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking
Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our dynamic team.
As a
Senior Manager, Software Engineering, this leader manages a team of 10-12 associates and partners closely with engineering, platform, and product teams. The role blends deep technical leadership with people and organizational leadership. Your expertise will be critical in guiding our organization's technical strategy, ensuring the robustness, scalability, and innovation of our product.

Walmart Data Ventures operates with the agility of a nimble startup, dedicated to creating the best-in-class suite of Data Products. Walmart Luminate is the first product, which has been created to deliver actionable, customer-centric insights, empowering CPGs and Walmart merchants make data-driven decisions in a smarter, faster, and collaborative manner.
What you'll do:
- Understand Data Ventures problems, through direct communication with product/business, by analysing data, and by working with other engineering/business/program/product stakeholders.
- Help define the technical roadmap to solve the business and product problems by building solutions as multi-tenant, scalable and extensible platform approach.
- Own the entire product delivery end to end.
- Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
- Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes
- Hire, develop and retain a strong team of engineers
What you'll bring:
- An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream Computer Science preferred.
- 12 -15 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems
- 2+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 8+ members.
- A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms & Problem Solving
- Hands on experience with Java ( must to have), Nodejs or Python, Cloud ( AWS, Azure ), DevOps CICD tools, relational DBMS ( MySQL, Oracle etc ) & non-relational DBMS ( MongoDB, CosmosDB etc ) with big data technologies ( Kafka, Spark etc ).
- Currently hands on writing and reviewing design & code
- Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.
- Experience across the product development SDLC
- Experience in building data pipelines, extensible platforms is desirable.
