We're looking for an experienced IND Manager- People Matters to join our India People Matters Team. In this role, you'll handle a diverse caseload including grievances, disciplinaries, performance and capability matters, absence and wellbeing support, contract queries, and policy reviews. This position is open to both office-based working environments and hybrid working settings from our office in India
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The People Matters team supports colleagues and people leaders in navigating workplace needs and concerns, ensuring consistent guidance, fair outcomes, and positive employee experience.
The incumbent would be -
- Performance management
- Investigating allegations
- Policy interpretation and application
- Draft new People policies, standards, and guidelines in clear and accessible language.
- Review existing People policies across business units.
- Wellbeing and absence management
- Organizational change support
- Provide high-quality advisory support to India business managers and colleagues on a day-to-day basis, partnering effectively across teams to deliver best practice outcomes.
- Use coaching and influencing skills to ensure the right outcomes are achieved in each case while managing risk and maximizing business results.
- Develop strong and credible relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to promote healthy employee relations across the business.
- Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance teams for case-related advice and risk management.
- Deliver effective employee relations support, staying focused on adding value to the business and maximizing colleague effectiveness.
- Support change management programs, including employee consultation, communication planning, and implementation of organizational changes.
- Manage performance and capability cases, ensuring fair and consistent application of processes.
- Lead investigations into allegations or colleague concerns with professionalism and integrity.
- Advise on policy interpretation and application, ensuring consistent understanding across the business.
- Support absence and wellbeing management, guiding managers and colleagues through appropriate processes and resources.
- Support exit processes and procedures as required, ensuring they are followed through to timely and complete closure.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive conversations
- Strong understanding of HR policies, employment regulations, and Employee Relations best practices
- Excellent coaching and influencing capability
- Ability to balance business needs with employee wellbeing
- High integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Collaborative style that encourages participation, from the point of delivering organizational objectives and meeting individual development needs.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, manage workload to deliver to tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to effectively utilize IT applications and systems including MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- Hands on and ability to independently execute
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- 9+ years of professional HR experience in organizations with sound HR processes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to influence and inspire at all levels in the organization
- Experience working in a matrix organization structure.
- Demonstrated ability in partnering with business or HR
