The Storage & Backup Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of the latest and greatest OS and Virtualization technologies both on prem and in the public cloud. The colleague is expected to help evaluate and redesign our backup & storage environment to help ensure we are providing efficient and secure solutions.

Demonstrated ability to:

• Facilitate the definition of backup/storage solutions to meet infrastructure requirements.
• Develop new and enhance existing backup/storage environments.
• Participate in long term systems and capacity planning, with transformation initiatives focused onreduced cost.
• Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
• Provide technical leadership and/or management for small and medium-sized projects.
• Able to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with advanced degree in Business or Information Technology preferred
• 10+ years experience working with a variety of technology disciplines
• Experience with configuring, installing, managing, and monitoring storage/backup systems on prem and in the public cloud - AWS, Azure, Google.
• Experience with backup & storage products: Rubrik, Veeam, BackuExec, NetApp, Dell Storage arrays, SAN switches & routers, FSX(n), AF, ANF, NetApp CVO , etc.
• Experience managing Backup security, including participation in security-based audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Experience and strong understanding of data retention policies as they relate to various compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with VMware, Unix
