What You'll Do
The Copywriter will create clear, compelling, and on‑brand copy across multiple creative formats while ensuring alignment with Walmart's tone of voice, creative standards, and compliance requirements. This role supports cross‑functional teams by transforming business needs into effective, high‑quality creative solutions. The Copywriter will develop clear, compelling, and on‑brand copy across a wide range of creative deliverables. This role ensures that all written communication upholds Walmart's tone of voice, creative standards, and compliance requirements while supporting cross‑functional teams in bringing impactful creative solutions to life.
Interpret and communicate design copy-related requirements to all Creative request projects and internally owned work, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and Walmart tone of voice.
Execute multiple copy concept solutions under the guidance of Art Directors and work collaboratively with Senior Copywriters/designers/senior designers to translate business needs into innovative solutions
Support cross-functional teams to ensure copy integrity and production excellence.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Walmart Connect creative compliance guidelines and requirements.
Understand the nuances of creative writing over content/prose writing.
Excellent writing ability and a strong command of English both in terms of language and grammar.
Think creatively, play with words, and write clear, concise and on-brand copy for different clients.
Research, write, edit and proof all levels of copy included headlines and body copy, for all online, offline, external and internal needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including sales, design, marketing, and stakeholders)
Identify opportunities for enhancing Copy guide practices and processes.
What You'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of Objectives, Tonality, etc. - and ideate for campaigns that meet these requirements with a knack for editing and proof-reading content with good research-oriented skills
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines related to copy compliance (e.g., copyright, trademarks, accessibility standards).
Experience in copy compliance monitoring, auditing, or quality assurance within Visual design Ad's of regulated industry.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma skills are an added advantage.
Attention to detail and ability to analyse complex design compliance requirements.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Proficient in using project management tools and documentation systems such as Workfront, Jira, and Confluence.
Solid organizational skills, detail oriented. Capable of working on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
