POSITION OVERVIEW:
Claims Consultant for Aon Business Services (ABS) Reinsurance Client Services. In this role, you will work closely with the Aon Reinsurance Solution Line team to provide extraordinary client services experience in the global reinsurance industry. Provide specialized skills and industry expertise in the management of all complex and routine claims responsibilities for Aon's clients portfolios. Deliver best in class service to clients while ensuring this is delivered to pre-defined service standards. Professionally and efficiently service claims activity on behalf of ceding companies and reinsurers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Receive and action client's claim instructions in a timely manner and communicate information as necessary to obtain prompt agreement.
. Process claims within established times, monitoring and pursuing the timeliness of ceding companies reports and remittances, if assigned.
. Produce accurate client/reinsurer documentation associated with the respective processes within specified turnaround times.
. Must develop strong understanding of Aon's proprietary system (GRIDS) and process claims within the suite of applications.
. Communicate with Client Service advocates, colleagues, and other operating units to resolve issues, answer questions, and aid.
. Review files regularly and maintain accurate and updated records of all correspondence and reports.
. Research and reconcile claim information using various systems and resources.
. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of claims files for ceding companies.
. Collaborate with senior team members or stakeholders to identify and offer solutions to problems and disputes.
. Help foster and maintain a productive working relationship between ceding company and its reinsurers.
. Communicate as required on assigned portfolios of claims to markets, third parties and service providers, in conjunction with a Client Service advocate as appropriate.
. Interface with global Aon teams.
. Manage and promptly resolve client, reinsurer, bureau market queries and other internal issues, seeking assistance when needed and escalating if required.
. Understand a client's reports, calculations and their requirements.
. Perform Second Pair of Eyes (SPOE) checks wherever required and serve as an approved authorizer as appropriate.
. Participate and support managers in team meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions.
. Maintain effective working relationships across Aon Client Services and participate in initiatives or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.
. Adhere to standardized Aon India policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements.
. Make observations and recommendations contributing to the operational process and building efficiency.
. Other duties, as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
. Must be a university graduate in any stream.
. Additional professional qualifications/certifications preferred.
. A minimum of 3 years of experience and working knowledge in insurance/reinsurance is preferred.
. Candidates with successful corporate experience are also encouraged to apply.
. Demonstrated abilities and experience in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
. Effective written and verbal business communication skills.
. Strong people skills and confidence in working with internal and external stakeholders at all company levels.
. Ability to efficiently multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet defined deadlines.
. A proven record of attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
. Ability to think strategically and analytically, as well as solve problems by thinking creatively.
. Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
